Gordon Martin Builder (GMB) was founded by Gordon Martin in 1951. It was later incorporated in 1962. The initial focus of the Company was in the construction of single family homes. Over the years, the Company expanded into commercial and industrial projects as a General Contractor. Much focus has been in hospitals, medical buildings, educational buildings, grocery stores, churches, and industrial building maintenance and remodeling. Services have expanded to include project management and design/build construction.Since its inception, GMB has been a family owned and operated business. Four generations have been involved and helped lead the company.Currently, the company is headed by Randy D. Fisher (grandson) as President. Randy has been in charge of operations since 1980 (after graduating from Grand Valley State College). Prior to that, he worked as a skilled tradesman on the projects. His duties include overseeing all facets of the Company's operations and administration.The other major person at GMB is Vice-President, Jeremiah (JB) Fisher. Jeremi wears several "hats" and works both as an estimator, project manager, and oversees all day to day operations of GMB. JB began his involvement at GMB working summers during school and began supervising projects upon his graduation from Grand Valley State University in 2001.
