Goteya was created in 2018 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, owned and operated by women and immigrants. The aim of our store is to provide fashion-forward and accessible sunglasses, helping people define their own personal style for a fair cost. Each piece of eyewear houses lenses that protect from 100% of UVA and UVB rays, recommended even on cloudy winter days. Goteya borrows its name from Joteya, the off-brand section of a Moroccan souk (our co-founder's country of birth).
