Gourmé is an online, interactive "live cookbook" where we connect culinary creators with culinary enthusiasts around the world, all while providing creators the ability to earn income by showcasing their passions and skills. Today we are witnessing an insurgence of capital being deployed into creator platforms, with almost $1 billion already invested in the "Passion Economy" in 2021 alone. That being said, of the hundreds of creator platforms out there, the passion economy still lacks a food ecosystem. While all other types of creators and influencers have multiple ways to monetize on their passions and skills (writers on Substack, musicians on Patreon, gamers on Twitch, etc.), culinary creators have been left behind in their ability to monetize on their passions. And, unless they are sponsored or are Food Network chefs, most will likely continue to give away their valuable content for free.Additionally, most culinary creators and restaurant workers have relied on the broken restaurant industry to make a barely livable income for far too long. With food costs, rent, and overhead continuing to rise, restaurant margins are continuously being squeezed, leaving workers, once again, left without a steady source of income. Now add in the pandemic where over 8 million restaurant workers lost their jobs and almost 75% of restaurants will remain closed post-pandemic.How are these culinary creators able to make a decent living while continuing to explore and pursue their passions, like so many other creators are?That's where we come in. Gourmé's mission is to provide a fun, inclusive and diverse platform for anything and everything culinary. All while providing a safe and reliable platform that generates active and passive income for all types of culinary creators. You don't need to be an Iron Chef to earn money on your passion for food. All you need is a small following and the passion to create!
