A family of 6 on a homeschooling journey by God's grace! We use an eclectic approach and choose to go at the individual child's pace. Here at Grace Academy-Sepulveda, we strive to foster independent learning in a supportive atmosphere. We make every attempt to use current resources, plug into the community and stay social with the many opportunities that are available for today's homeschooler. We started out with our oldest attending first grade at a local public school in Fairview, TN. Although it was a good experience, we all preferred being together and Giovanni Jr. was getting more of a challenge at home. We switched back to homeschooling. Two siblings and three years later we moved to Orlando, Fl. Here we homeschooled for 2 years more and added another to the roster. It was April 2005 when we lived on the road for 10 months, again homeschooling. Here is where we came up with Grace Academy-Sepulveda. Our road trip ended in Charlotte, NC where we decided to settle down. Our homeschool was then registered under this name. In December of 2009 the older three attended public school, the youngest was placed in preschool. They had the full experience of "school"; backpacks, new clothes, taking the bus, being amongst peers all day and having a teacher other than mom. They loved it at first! But by the end of the year we had decided it was a good break for mom, dad got much needed help with his business, but it was time to settle back into homeschooling.
