The Graduate School of International Development (GSID) was established in 1991 amid that period of change, and in 1995 was consolidated as a graduate school offering Master's and Ph.D. programs in three majors.At present, of the total 317 students (including research students) currently enrolled, 177, more than half, are international students. GSID students acquire international understanding through daily life researching global issues alongside peers with different cultures and languages hailing from over 35 countries and regions of the world
