The story of the Graetz-family and their company is still a not well-worked chapter of German Industry history.In 1866 Aber Graetz and his friend the businessman Emil Ehrich founded the „Ehrich & Graetz Lampenfabrik" in Berlin. They are producing petroleum lamps that give a particularly bright light. This lamps brought the light technique to new levels. Ehrich and Graetz exported their lamps all across the world. In 1925 son Max Graetz expanding the business bought a small radio manufacture, and within the next years, the Graetz company was also very successful in building and selling radios. During the time of the „Wirtschaftswunder" Graetz was named in one sentence with Grundig, Telefunken and Loewe when the question came to the best TV in Germany.In 1996 the last TV were produced by GRAETZ, the production of the factory in Bochum/ Altena stopped. Then followed a difficult time of licenses and not the best product quality.Since 2016 the brand has its headquarter in Milan. Using great contacts from the electronic business they started to resell TV and small electronic devices like tablets and an action camera produced by GRAETZ.So GRAETZ comes to its second round - with new ideas, fresh and creative minds GRAETZ starts into the 21st century.
