Project Grain, home to songs, poetry, sonic experiments, lyrics, and words on music, is an art of sounding and listening. It is an invitation to hear that which has yet to be heard, so as to create the never before imagined. It situates itself in this fractured and intricate world of sounds: the timbre of the everyday, and the harmony of silence. Finding its inspiration in "The Grain of the Voice" (Barthes 1977), Project Grain is a tribute to all that continues to sound and to inspire sound, from frequencies that are relentlessly "absolute," "meaningless," and "pure," to vibrations that may provoke deep emotion and thought.Stacy, founder and CEO, received her PhD in musicology from Harvard University. Together with Jane, co-founder and CMO, she hopes to weave a richly textured world of sounds, embracing both the earthly and the cosmic, the beautiful and the sublime. Summer, 2022. New Beginnings.
