Welcome to Granada Fund!The world is rapidly moving direct 2 consumer (D2C). Companies are ditching their physical presence, owning their data and meticulously tracking their customers' experience. We don't just believe it, we've literally bootstrapped and currently operate Flooret, an 8 figure direct to consumer flooring business. We've also ramped up and managed fleets of scooters, cohorts of on demand delivery drivers and launched a D2C holiday wreath business. We love this space.As we move further into the investing world, we've noticed an opportunity to help D2C founders who want to maintain full control of their business and grow at a steady pace. These companies are a little bit different from the typical companies investors fight over. Some only need a little capital to get the flywheel going. Maybe all they need is guidance. If they were to raise money from angels or VCs it would require a certain level of traction. If they did find traction, they may not need additional funding and could bootstrap from there.With this lens in mind, we're focusing Granada Fund on supporting early stage D2C companies with scrappy founders, who have a little traction and could benefit from the guidance of seasoned founders who've built an 8 figure D2C brand. This experience will help avoid landmines, typical pitfalls, improve processes, supply chain, navigate partnerships and grow in a strategic way. At the end of the day, we realize that not every founder intends to build with an immediate exit in mind. Some founders want to take more time to find their way and others may want to continue to hold on to their company even longer. We don't mind. We'd love to help, but also want a mechanism to back us off the cap table, providing a modest return for us and the support founders need to grow and accelerate their brand.
