About Us: Grand River Public Bike Share, (GRPBS) is a non-profit organization based in Waterloo, Ontario dedicated to the introduction of public bike sharing in the Region of Waterloo (ROW). The financially stable, non-profit business model of GRPBS includes revenues from corporate sponsorships, user fees, private contributions, and community grants. GRPBS qualifies for exemption from federal income taxes and will apply for exemption from Ontario Provincial and local sales taxes. The GRPBS non-profit structure improves the public image, grassroots outreach, transparency, and local knowledge. Our Vision: Transform ROW into Canada's capital of cycling, and boost its image as an eco-friendly international destination contributing to the quality of life for its citizens and encouraging the adoption of greener transportation.
