Civil Engineering - New Gloucester, Maine, United States
The permitting process is not a full-time job. There are review and processing periods that can last for weeks or even months. However, each project poses its own problems and requires a certain amount of thoughtfulness and intimacy. The Grange Engineering Group doesn't believe in producing as many products as possible but would rather produce one or two great products. Considering the length of the process this would make it impossible to work forty hours every week and only be working on one or two projects. The solution… Don't work forty hours every week. We encourage our workers to pursue their hobbies and other passions during the idle times for their projects. The Grange Engineering projects are the top priority for our engineers, so when there is work to be done, they are fully invested! When our engineers get the ball out of the court, they will work as carpenters, bartenders, greens keepers, volunteers, farmers, etc. We believe as engineers our ability to solve a problem is aided by rich and diverse life experiences. Therefore we aim to live life to the fullest and put everything we have into everything we do.A bonus to working with the Grange Engineering Group is the free "think time" you'll receive. We are all nerds, and it is our passion to think through good hard problems. With only one or two projects to think about, each project is given hours of free "think time". While driving to a late-night skate, mowing the yard, folding the laundry, the problems for each project are constantly being pondered. This insures you are receiving the best design our engineers can give for a very reasonable price (i.e. we do not bill the time we spend on the lawn mower).
