Grant Applied Sciences was formed in July 2012 to undertake research and development of several potentially disruptive innovations, in collaboration with academic and industrial partners. The research used advanced computational modelling, simulation, and validation for proof-of-concept projects. The company projects included research into aviation and aerospace technology, underwater and ocean propulsion systems, energy recovery in vehicles (on land and in air), computer vision systems, and others.
