Welcome to the Graveney Trust! We are proud to have been asked to set up this new educational trust which runs both Graveney School and Tooting Primary School in South West London. Graveney School has a history of outstanding achievement over very many years, with five outstanding Ofsted inspections to its credit in the last couple of decades. This is a tribute to the commitment, professionalism and loyalty of our staff as well as the energy and hard work of our students. We have learnt much over the years and relish the opportunity to share our knowledge about what makes an outstanding school with other organisations for the benefit of local youngsters and their families. The creation of Tooting Primary School has provided us with just this opportunity. It has been an exciting project which has had overwhelming support from local parents. A challenging pre-opening period of just 7 months led to the school opening for its first cohort in September 2013 having passed all its pre-opening inspections and several subsequent formal monitoring visits from the Department for Education with flying colours. The school is well staffed, and is ably lead by its experienced and forward looking headteacher who is working with his staff to prepare for the third new intake of pupils and the first 'real' Ofsted inspection. We are excited about the possibilities offered to multi-academy trusts in the rapidly changing world of education. In the context of shrinking resources, there is the opportunity for innovation and cost effective solutions for schools willing to share their leadership capacity and resources.
