- Gravura Brasileira Established in 1998 by Eduardo Besen and Alberto Fuks, "Gravura Brasileira" is the only art gallery in Brazil dedicated to original prints and printmaking. One of the gallery's original objectives is to portray historical and contemporary Brazilian prints exhibitions, as well as, to organize workshops and lectures. Visitors can also view our collection that has more than 4000 pieces by about 250 artists from all over the country and abroad.Since its foundation, Gravura Brasileira has shown works by young and renowned artists, artist's books and editions, rare prints from private collections and works by foreign studios. Our collection is a testimony of Brazil's great tradition in printmaking.Over the years Gravura Brasileira became a reference in printmaking in Brazil. Nowadays, the gallery welcomes artists, visitors, art dealers and curators from all over the world. We also keep exchange programs with studios and art centers from different parts of the world. The gallery was invited to take part in art shows such as ArtFrankfurt 2003/2004 and Feira Parte 2011/12/13 and to show its collection in international exhibitions in Amsterdam, Berlin, Havana, Heidelberg, Paris, Cardiff, Mexico City, New York, Oaxaca and Washington DC.Since 2011, Gravura Brasileira is responsible for organizing SP ESTAMPA (Sao Paulo Print Week), an annual event now in its 4th edition that gathers hundreds of artists, students and print lovers for a week of exhibitions, lectures, workshops and printmaking courses.
