The Great Salt Lake Fringe is a multi-day performing arts festival in the heart of Sugar House where artists from Salt Lake City and beyond come together to tell stories.The Great Salt Lake Fringe is:Focused on the performing arts. Shows involve theatre, dance, music, aerial arts, puppetry, magic, spoken word, and more.Unique and original. Shows are developed by performers, playwrights, and directors, and push the limits of the performing arts.Unrestricted, uncensored and unadjudicated. Anyone can participate in the Fringe, and show content ranges from squeaky-clean to risqué.Easy to participate in. Ticket prices and venue fees are are low ($10 per show, and even cheaper when you buy multiple tickets) and artists receive 100% of ticket sales.Fast-Paced. Shows contain minimal technical requirements and are under an hour in length. Unlike traditional theatre, audiences can see multiple shows in a single evening!Community-based. The Fringe takes place in the heart of Sugar House, with all venues within walking distance of 2100 South and Highland Drive. Audiences are encouraged to support local businesses, and receive discounts at restaurants and stores with their Fringe buttons.
