Welcome to the Greater Kansas City HIMSS ChapterWe are a regional chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) providing educational, networking, and leadership opportunities. Over the last year, we made a local impact with topics around cyber security, population heatlh, data governance and analytics, health IT workforce, teleheatlh, the state of healthcare in Kansas and Missouri, and a number of networking events. Our presenters ranged from experts in local healthcare and health IT companies in the city to our city's Mayor. In May 2018, our chaper hosted our second annual fundraiser and raised $6,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. It is going to be an exciting year with all of the changes coming around healthcare IT and the upcoming educational sessions and networking events we have planned.
