Green Acre Aquaponics is a for-profit Florida corporation established in February of 2010. The aquaponic farm is located on a 5 acre property in Brooksville, FL. and began operation in December of 2010. At Green Acre, we intend to nourish a market starved for both local and clean, chemical free, organically grown foods with its use of greenhouse Aquaponics. The lower operating costs, greater production in a smaller area, and less susceptibility to pests, contaminants and weather conditions will help to control product costs. In comparison to its conventional or hydroponic counterparts, Green Acre can therefore offer better quality produce at more affordable prices.
