Green Development Foundation Details
Green Development Foundation (GDF) is a registered NPO No: 2015/316220/08 under South African law and in full compliance with the Non- Profit Organisations Act, 1997 ( Act no. 71 of 1997).GDF was founded in 2010 by a group of young people who are passionate about greening and revitalising the environment in South Africa. The GDF's main focus is to preserve the environment and create sustainable livelihoods. The organisation developed a patented mascot concept called Buti Green which has been the national greening symbol. We believe in transforming inhabitable land into livable lands for humans, plants and animals.The foundation's major role is to encourage members of the community at large, especially young women to participate meaningfully in preservation and conservation of mother nature. GDF is AgriSETA and SALI accredited and all skills development programmes are based on SAQA guidelines. Essentially, we are a community development initiative which focuses on improving lives through environment conservation and agricultural support.
