We believe that Britain today is in need of a new political alternative. As we confront greater challenges such as globalisation, global warming and mass migration; we seek to offer a political and economic renewal based on the principles of sustainability, freedom and subsidiarity.We are greens because we believe that all economic activity must be ecologically sustainable. We must use our natural resources to meet our needs without endangering the availability of those resources for future generations.We are liberals because we believe that a sustainable economy must embrace and encourage innovation, whilst keeping intervention and regulation to a necessary minimum to guarantee the protection of human dignity and our environment. We view the social and economic challenges before us as opportunities for development that will benefit everybody in Britain and around the World.The Green Liberal Party is unique in Britain. Traditional parties such as the Conservatives, Labour or the Liberal Democrats are only paying lip service to ecological concerns and the threat of climate change whilst their policies exacerbate the problems and undermine any small steps in the right direction they might offer. Furthermore we differentiate ourselves from the Green Party in our commitment to liberalism and our positive vision of a new, green industrial revolution.
