"Our aim is to tell stories that entertain and inspire" GreenBox's first documentary, The Music Lesson, tells the story of two groups of young people from extraordinarily different backgrounds as they use the power of music to discover each other's worlds. Ten classically trained students from the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra traveled across the world for a life-changing cultural exchange with a group of students from Laikipia, Kenya, whose tribal elders have passed down the tradition of singing, dancing and playing music for centuries. Currently in post production, PONIES, based on the off-Broadway play. Drazen (JOHN VENTIMIGLIA), Wallace (KEVIN CORRIGAN) and Ken (BABS OLUSANMOKUN) immigrated to America in search of their piece of the American Dream. Drazen and Wallace spend their days engulfed in seedy off-track betting while Ken grudgingly drives a New York cab. Bad luck and desperation bring these men together, and they are forced to fight for their very survival and their most valued prize: the right to stay in America.Ultimately, PONIES is about the tenuous hold we each have on the American Dream. GreenBox Films hopes to expand its' scope of offerings to include production services and menu-based educational presentation packages for distribution of "The Music Lesson" which will include screenings, lectures and interactive music workshops and performances for High Schools and Universities.
