The first global solution to a problem of the CO2 emissions caused by online data transfer ( Internet Carbon Footprint ).A system for analysing, optimising and offsetting CO2 emissions from online data transfer. The project is based on 3 solutions that allow for minimising CO2 emission from Internet traffic:1. An algorithm for calculating CO2 emission generated by traffic on a given website,2. Eco-server rooms that minimise CO2 emission from other Internet traffic (e-mails, P2P networks),3. Offsetting minimised CO2 emission by cooperating with global offset plans. WHYInternet-generated CO2 emission is bound to become an increasingly serious problem due to development of technology, growing use of cloud service for data storage, faster Internet (4G/5G), new video standards (4K, 8K, VR), and Internet of Things (IoT).So far, this problem has not been highly publicised. However, the evolution of eco movements across the world and the development of Internet suggests the "green" approach to building the global network will become one of the key concepts for the entire sector of emerging technologies. When implementing the project, we intend to undertake actions in two crucial areas:For the planet - minimising emission and compensating for the unavoidable part of footprint through off-setting activities - e.g. planting trees in numbers sufficient to balance the CO2 emission generated by Internet traffic on our clients' websites; For the client - optimising the websites for faster data transmission, improving user experience, building the image of a "green" company that strives to make a positive impact on the environment.OUR DREAM: We want to create a space where people can obtain information about their online impact on the environment, learn about appropriate responses and thereby ensure a healthier future for us and next generations.
