Since 2005, GreenHow has lead the way in low impact pest, plant, termite and turf management. Our focus is happy customers! What sets us apart is our focus on training and material selection. We use a variety of training resources, notably the Purdue University Extension Course for Pest, Termite and Lawn Care, and the University of Massachusetts extension training courses to get our associates trained in the industry. We make sure all technicians are licensed and we have licenses in each category we operate in. Many companies that use general use pesticides do not use the time and training resources to get licenses in all categories they operate in, a key example being mosquito operators that do not possess that license. Our material selection is aided by our GreenShield and GreenPro certifications. We select the lowest impact material to get the job done and are always searching for new alternatives to materials to reduce pesticide use and exposure. We use the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination system, for example, that uses no water when most termite treatments use hundreds of gallons of water per treatment. This system only kills insects that digest cellulose and molt which focuses the application to termites. This material can be removed from the soil should the customer desire-no liquid termiticide can be removed from the soil.Other examples of our low impact materials include the ArborJet Tree Injection system that lets us put plant health care materials into the bark of the tree through the Tree I.V. reducing the need for spraying foliage and risking non-target exposure. Our use of Acelepryn insecticide with its minimal impact on beneficial pollinators and Tenacity for weed control with its reduced risk profile also highlights our commitment to efficacy and safety.
