In 2012, GreenMomentum and Cleantech Challenge Mexico were recognized by the White House as "Champions of Change", and invited in 2017 to present our achievements and progress at a close-door event sponsored by the White House and hosted by the US Department of Transportation. In 2014, US Secretary of State John Kerry recognized Cleantech Challenge Mexico as a "key innovation engine" during a keynote address during his visit to Mexico City. In 2014 GreenMomentum created the National Mentorship Network, subsequently certified by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Venture Mentoring Service (MIT-VMS). In 2015 GreenMomentum co-founded the Network for Global Innovation (NGIN) together with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator, sponsored by the governments of Los Angeles and Mexico City. In 2017, GreenMomentum received Mexico´s National Entrepreneurship Institute's dual accreditation as specialized High Impact Incubator and Accelerator. Currently headquartered in Mexico City, GreenMomentum is a for-profit organization, with a positive balance sheet and more than 40 employees, including experts in innovation, entrepreneurship, economic development and international relations.
