The Greenville Transit Authority (GTA) is the designated regional transportation authority for Greenville County. Since 2008, GTA has contracted the City of Greenville to operate Greenlink - the branded name for public transit services. The Greenville Transit Authority is governed by a seven-member Board. Two members are appointed by Greenville City Council, two by Greenville County Council, and three by the Greenville County Legislative Delegation.Presently, Greenlink operates 12 fixed routes covering 94 square miles in Greenville County. Greenville Area Paratransit (GAP) is Greenlink's complimentary paratransit service available for people who are unable to use fixed routes due to a disability but are traveling to destinations within 3/4-mile of a fixed route.
