Greenwood Whiskey is a premium African American owned whiskey brand that symbolizes a celebration of the commitment to excellence that you strive for in your day to day life. We were inspired by the Greenwood neighborhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1901 the community of Greenwood was the birthplace of "Black Wall Street". Black Wall Street was home to 600 African American Owned Businesses. This was the largest concentration of black owned businesses in the US during a time where African Americans didn't have many rights or resources. Our whiskey is a celebration of those innovative and persistent entrepreneurs that came before us.
