Greenzy, a unit of KrishiRishi Agrofarms LLP, is an Agri-startup recognized by Startup TN, DPIIT, and Startup India. Spanning over 10,000 square feet, this hydroponic farm in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is the brainchild of two young entrepreneurs - Sivaramkrishnan A R and Vinay Poddar. Having worked for over a decade in the Finance sector of the top firms in India and Singapore, respectively, these new generation farmers have embarked on a mission to democratize access to fresh, flavourful and safe leafy greens. Their mission is not limited to ensuring that every individual eats right and lives healthy but extends to establishing a climate-friendly, sustainable alternative to tackle the ever-growing nutritional deficiency in India. All the farms at Greenzy requires 92% less water than conventional farming techniques and is guaranteed to reduce the carbon footprint drastically. Growing the leafy greens in a climate-controlled environment, suspended in a nutrient-rich water medium, ensures their availability all year round. No soil, no fertilizers, no pesticides make Greenzy a sustainable, eco-friendly, and organic farming alternative!
