Gro-Eco has become a leader of environmental stewardship among the containerized plant industry. We practice sustainability by using 85% less water than traditional systems resulting in less chemical usage, minimal runoff and contamination. The Gro-Eco Growing System (U.S. Patents 6,865,845 and 7,607,260) was developed by Jay Fraleigh, owner of Fraleigh Nursery, a wholesale plant nursery in Madison, Florida. Gro-Eco was patented in March of 2005, and since then Fraleigh Nursery has expanded its use of the system to multiple sizes and varieties of popular products. The Gro-Eco Growing System allows nurseries to provide superior-quality plants at a reduced cost, while conserving extreme amounts of water. The Gro-Eco family is proud to promote conservation of Earth's natural resources, both in actual practice and by raising awareness among consumers. Because of its development and use of the Gro-Eco system, Fraleigh Nursery was awarded the Florida Department of Agriculture 2007 Environmental Leadership Award. The Gro-Eco Growing System can also be licensed to other nurseries that want to take advantage of this profitable, yet environmentally-friendly approach to growing landscape-quality plants.
