Grow Portland supports schools and communities by facilitating hands-on garden experiences that foster connections to food, nature and each other. Our actions are grounded in environmental justice, equity, and accessibility to ensure meaningful engagement of all students, families, school personnel, and community members connected to our programs. We make garden and outdoor education available to all, regardless of socioeconomic status. At partner schools, Grow Portland provides students with access to experiential science and ecology, specifically those who have historically been excluded from outdoor education including students of color, students who live at or below the poverty line, and students with intellectual and physical disabilities.Grow Portland stewards and cares for gardens and outdoor learning spaces in partnership with schools and community.
