The GrowGreen project, funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 programme, supports people and organisations with using nature-based solutions to green cities in Europe and around the world. Increasing green spaces and waterways in cities helps to improve resilience to flooding, heat stress and other challenges of the urban environment exacerbated by climate change. The parks, street trees, community gardens and other nature-based solutions that we work with in GrowGreen also contribute to cleaning air and water, supporting urban biodiversity, and improving citizens' health. GrowGreen's Green Cities Framework and Training Programme will bring together existing tools and materials for planning, funding and developing nature-based solutions in collaboration with local people, and will include new resources developed from the project's research. This information will be repackaged and translated for the different groups of people and organisations involved in greening cities, and will be tested in the project's partner cities of Manchester (UK), Valencia (Spain), Wroclaw (Poland), Wuhan (China), Brest (France), Modena (Italy) and Zadar (Croatia). Sign up for our newsletter on our website (www.growgreenproject.eu) to stay informed on the development of the Green Cities Framework and Training Programme.GrowGreen runs from June 2017 to May 2022. This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 730283.
