The Audiovisual Design Research Group was created in 2017, when academics located in Brazil recognized the need not just to better understand, but also create relevant solutions to the problem of product design and fruition in the new born Digital Era. This intersection would then interlace Computer Science with Applied Social Sciences, more precisely the areas of Software Engineering and Human Computer Interaction with Reception/Audience Studies, leading to the design of a multidisciplinary, theorical-methodological framework called Audiovisual Design.
