There are 2.1M people commuting along EDSA daily. Bus capacity is set to 62 people. As of 2015, we only have 12K buses available to the total number of the riding population. Realistically, your 62- seater bus accommodates times three of its normal capacity. Almost 2B PHP in potential revenue is lost daily due to this bus shortage issue. Other alternatives are present but your average commuting public can only afford bus rides if not the MRT transportation which breaks down an average of 5 times a month.A first of its kind free for all mobile application that would ID buses, passengers, operator and would regulate the capacity per bus making it comfortable for each commuter to traverse the busiest road in the metro. This would enable the governing bodies to make sound decisions to help ease congestion and address the PUV: passenger ratio.
