Your Original Extreme Attempt gesture: Totem is this, the italian acronym of a thought of liberty that is freedom to create, going towards something out of us, being and becoming, in perpetual, as it is actually in art. For this reason the Group Theater Totem was founded in 1986 to Palermo, like a cultural association, from an idea of some ex-students of 'Teatès' theater school directed by the Teacher Michele Perriera. Word, gesture, music, body: these the elements that characterize the artistic research of this group, a path in continuous evolution and study, where the narrow relationship between dance and writing, music and poetry, in a nonstop exchange with reciprocal and natural integrations, results in an expressive unicum that finds its great resonance in the theatre creation. From the absurd theater of the beginnings, in fact, the artistic research of the Totem arrives, through various experiences, to an idea of global theater where the music is to integrate word, body and space.
