Entertainment - Burlington, Ontario, Canada
Pantomime is fun-filled family entertainment and a great way to celebrate the festive season. Hilarious interactive British comedy, with enough excitement to keep toddlers to pensioners gripped for the duration. If you like your comedy witty, poignant, silly or sarcastic or just love a bit of good old fashioned slapstick, you cannot let another year go by without experiencing this. We know that this will be the start of an annual Canadian family tradition that millions of Brit's have been enjoying for over a hundred years.2011 represented the start of something big. Brought up in the UK, Rikki Wright enjoyed a healthy diet of at least two slices of delicious pantomime every year. After moving to Toronto in 2002, Rikki soon found the pantomime scene to be so lacking it was virtually non-existent. After almost 10 years of suffering, he decided to do something about it, the only way he knows how... rolling up his sleeves and getting stuck in. 2011 saw the production of his own version of Cinderella and was followed in 2012 with Aladdin. Following rave reviews and very enthusiastic audiences, he is following that up in 2014 (yeah, we know we missed a year) with Jack and the Beanstalk. Come and see us at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre from December 23-29, 2014.
