The GU Eating Society is established for the purpose of developing and exposing Georgetown students to a wide variety of culinary traditions and ideas. By attending internationally-themed restaurants around the Georgetown and DC area, The Georgetown University Eating Society hopes to build a better awareness of different cultures and ethnicities through a shared appreciation of cuisine. The GU Eating Society, ultimately, attempts to build a better knowledge of different cuisines and increase the openness of Georgetown students to unique culinary traditions around the world, while sharing in a common interest of food.
