Our mission is to accelerate human development and exploration so people can live more productive, dynamic, and fulfilled lives with senses of agency and meaning, and have society as a whole prosper because of it.In pursuit of this mission, we are currently addressing the broken sorting mechanism of information: the increasing influence of misinformation and conspiracy theories, disinformation from troll farms, engagement-optimized content creation, distribution, and echo chambers / filter bubbles; the business models and share-discover algorithms that are misaligned with the interests of users and society; the accelerating pace of information creation and overload, fueled by bots, AI deep fakes, special interest psyops – resulting as a real threat to democracy. The noisy and messy information landscape also poses a challenge to learning in the traditional sense where people must navigate through the ocean of information, advice, and guidance for personal projects as well as professional transformation in the context of globalization, accelerating technological disruption, and the COVID pandemic. All of these challenges make the broken information sorting mechanism one of the most pressing problems of the world today.Our first product is a new social sharing platform that hopes to address the superficiality and vanity of present-day social media and the wider information landscape. By correcting those market failures, guide:human aims to improve the way people explore, save, and share information. It is a smart and meaningful social media experience that allows people to expand the way they understand and interact with each other.We envision much much more. But we believe this is the first problem to solve or everything else will fall flat. We all have a choice on how much of our lives we dedicate to certain projects.
