Welcome to the Guilford Funeral Home, owned and operated by the Sullivan Family since 1959, serving our Shoreline community. The Sullivan Family believes in the importance of local ownership, so you can depend on our compassion and attentive personal service; that should be expected when choosing a funeral home. Over 50 years ago Guilford Funeral Home was opened by George F. Sullivan, Jr., who envisioned the need for a full servicing oriented funeral establishment to serve his community For over thirty-five years George Jr. ran the family business with his father George F. Sullivan, Sr. by his side. Together they prided themselves on treating every family they served as they were part of their own family. George F. Sullivan, III has been involved as a licensed funeral director since 1998. He has been instrumental in the transition of our past attributes into today's business operation. In 2010, Garrett F. Sullivan completed his funeral studies American Academy / McAlister Institute in New York and joined our staff, shortly thereafter. Today, amidst all of the large funeral home conglomerates / corporations, we remain a private family owned and operated funeral home. Among the communities we primarily serve of Guilford, Madison, Clinton, Killingworth and even as far as Westbrook and Old Saybrook we are the only family funeral home with over 50 years of dedication and experience.
