Gwambo Studios Private Ltd (Gwambo), was set up by the founder of de Gournay, Claud S Cecil Gurney, and belongs to his daughter, Hannah Cecil Gurney who is the heart and soul of de Gournay Ltd.A luxury interior company, specializes in creating exquisite hand embroidered wallpaper and fabrics in London & Kolkata. de Gournay is one of the top international luxury goods and decoration brands in the world and currently growing at around 30% per annum but we are impatient to speed this up.de Gournay has a global presence with showrooms in Beijing, Shanghai, New York, San Francisco Beirut, Paris, Moscow and London at the present time and plans to expand to India and Mexico and Japan in the near future. We also have production studios across China and in Yangon and now in Kolkata.Anyone joining Gwambo will be joining our international family of companies and, once they have proved their skills and diligence, will be encouraged to travel to our various operations and to play a full part in out international expansion.The purpose of Gwambo is firstly, to allow the de Gournay group to benefit from the huge pool of highly qualified people in and around Calcutta – especially in support roles in Digital Design; Sales support; Website Development; Social Media & Marketing support; Accounting & Finance support; Systems support; Architectural Support and Manufacturing Support; Business Management support, and secondly to start a painting school and an embroidery school with the aim of building up our production in India. Both are very exciting projects for the future growth of the de Gournay group of companies worldwide.
