In 2010, Gyro Shack was founded by Gus Zaharioudakis in Boise, Idaho. Gus spent the next 5 years building brand loyalty with great food and great service. In 2015 Gyro Shack ownership decided the time was right to franchise and they began building the operational standards and documents to begin franchising in 2016. With low investment startup costs, simple menu, an under-served market segment, and most importantly, the high quality and great tasting product. Gyro Shack was ripe for expansion. Today, Gyro Shack is rebuilding it's emphasis on franchising as a means of expanding their business while maintaining the strong reputation.
