Gimme Shelter Global was founded by Luca Bonifacio, an architect with more than twenty years of experience in the humanitarian sector, along with Neusa Michiko Suka (institutional relations expert), Gabriele Villa (business development expert) and Sorcha Hellyer (communications expert). H7 Shelter has been developed together with a team of visionaries, engineers and designers all united by a common goal: to provide a home not a tent! Destined for disaster relief, emergency response and for those who have been forcibly displaced for their homes, H7 aims to provide not only shelter but a sense of dignity and belonging.It is the result of years of dedication and passion towards providing a truly meaningful, lasting solution to this critical factor which is so necessary for human existence. We aim to provide answers far beyond to the covering of simple basic practical needs, we have created an adaptive, modular, integrated, versatile, multi-phase construction system that is specifically conceptualised for the humanitarian context. It seeks to raise the bar in trying to combine the performance of an emergency shelter with the comfort of a conventional prefabricated construction.The H7 Shelter concept is based on a Designed for Dignity approach, meaning that it uses design in its most advanced, elegant form, and combines it with a practical desire to come up with a solution that not only provides an efficient and consistent response to the incumbent material needs of its dwellers - adequate living conditions and protection from extreme weather - but also a dignifying, healing and recovering experience. H7 Shelter is not just a product it's a system, more accurately it is an adaptive modular integrated construction system specifically conceptualised for the humanitarian context that combines the performance of an emergency shelter with the comfort of a conventional prefabricated construction bridging the gap from emergency to transitional shelter and beyond.
