Habana Works is the creation of New York City restaurateur and entrepreneur Sean Meenan, best and most affectionately known for turning an abandoned parking lot into the solar powered, eco-conscious community hub that is now Habana Outpost in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Inspired by the incredible interest and appreciation the community had for earth friendly, responsible business, he decided to take his venture one step further. In 2006, Sean founded Habana Works - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit - dedicated to furthering green initiatives in Brooklyn, encouraging appreciation for both the natural and built environment and giving earth-friendly innovations a platform in the public eye. At its heart, Habana Works aims to be a non-judgmental resource for any and everyone interested in learning about the positive changes we can all make for the good of the planet, the community, and our own health and well being.
