Habitat for Humanity is a faith-based non-profit builder of simple, decent, and affordable homes for God's low-income people in our community. Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Our mission is to work in partnership with God and with people of all faiths and all walks of life to eliminate substandard housing and homelessness by building decent affordable houses for and with low-income families (partner/owners) in need.Our work would not be possible without the help from our volunteers. They come from all over, including campus chapters, local businesses, and our regular Wednesday/Saturday crew. These volunteers provide most of the labor whether it is on the houses or in the ReStore, while donations of money and materials are provided by corporate donors and individuals. The partner families also play a large role in volunteering their time to help complete their sweat equity hours before they can move into their home.Connected to our office building is our ReStore, which is a place to buy new and gently used building materials and household goods to the public at a deep discount. All the proceeds assist with the building of more Habitat homes in Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. We do accept donations including furniture and appliances.
