Habitat for Humanity York County was founded in 1985 by Miles Freeman and a small group of dedicated individuals. Since that time, Habitat has completed 31 homes in York County in partnership with hard-working people in need of decent, affordable housing.In June 2013, Habitat opened a ReStore to support our mission. The ReStore sells donated building materials, appliances, furniture, hardware and household goods to the general public, and proceeds support Habitat's affordable housing mission.Habitat's Weatherization and Aging in Place program brings community members together to assist low-income homeowners in need of assistance. Our mission is to help York County's most vulnerable residents reduce their energy costs and improve their comfort, health, and safety in their home.
