Habitat Pro Association is a nonprofit organization whose intentions are to end the inequality of indigenous women and youth rights in Peru. We aim to empower the indigenous women and new generations to ensure local sustainability of local communities and cultures. Indigenous people have the right to their inherited lands and the practice of their traditional knowledge. This discrimination can be eliminated if we act with urgency, now!! Our Vision: Peru where everyone can exercise their rights for social, emotional, spiritual and cultural well-being. Our Mission: To support indigenous peoples of Peru in sustaining their traditional practices through providing necessary resources and assistance, promoting their ancient culture, ensuring gender equality, and empowering new generations. Some of our proudest accomplishments: • Playing a crucial role in formulating the first United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous people for 5 consecutive years. • Helping recovering and resonate traditional practices of indigenous communities in Peru.
