Hack for Earth is an online global hackathon at the upcoming world exhibition Expo2020 in Dubai. Hosted by the non-profit, non-political organisation, the Hack for Earth Foundation, in collaboration with the Swedish Pavilion at Expo2020, the goal is to create real sustainable solutions for the good of society. This pandemic has shown us that it's imperative that we create solutions that transcend borders. We are more dependent on each other than ever before and this will only increase in the years to come. The need for solutions that deliver value for all citizens in the world is imperative. Now is the time to create the world we dream of - together. Our mission is to bring real sustainable tech solutions to life through citizen-driven innovation- and in so doing, reinventing democracy for the 21st century. Why should only a few decide over something we all are going to use? Sustainability The UN 17 global goals is at the heart of Hack for Earth. Together with all parts of society - private and public sector, academia and citizens - we find the solutions we need for the society of tomorrow. Diversity We know that the best solutions for society comes from bringing all kinds of competences, backgrounds, ages and experiences together, breaking down silos and barriers and building new bridges in the process. Impact A great idea is nothing if it isn't made a reality. By supporting the best solutions from Hack for Earth, the Hack for Earth Foundation will be an active partner in creating real tools for citizens to use in their everyday life.
