HADEF is focused on supporting education and agriculture in rural Ghana. A sample of our projects includes:- Funding of large communal farms in rural communities to support landless farmers- Livestock Fund (cattle and sheep) to provide milk and meat to our beneficiaries- Microcredit project (alongside Fori Investments) to support rural farmers and traders- Creation, funding and co-management of a shea butter agribusiness employing +50 women- Funding of scholarships (covering tution, exam fees, study materials and a living stipend) to primary, secondary and university students- Creation, funding and running of a state-of-the-art IT center to provide IT training to students in the Ga Area, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education of GhanaIn addition to this, HADEF has provided direct funding to MicroFinance Institutions in 15 African countries (Burkina Faso, Burundi, D.R. Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zimbabwe). These funds have been mostly lent to agricultural projects
