The Haiti International Film Festival is the premiere platform in Hollywood, CA, showcasing the humanity of Haitian culture through short films, documentaries, and feature films. We are the HBO for Haitian films displaying the authenticity of Haitian culture. The Haiti International Film Festival (HIFF) was established in 2015 and is a non-profit corporation with a 501(c)(3) status. Our mission is showcase the rich culture of the Haitian diaspora through film and art. Through outreach and collaboration with other nonprofits and production companies, we conduct workshops on storytelling, and also hold a yearly film festival to educate and celebrate the work of emerging, and established filmmakers.Our annual film festival has showcased over 30 films by Haitian filmmakers and lovers of Haiti at the Historic Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood, California. We've featured documentaries, short films, and featured narratives from emerging and well-established filmmakers like Jimmy Jean-Louis to strengthen our voice and presence in an industry where it is often absent. The film festival is a catalyst for Haitian artistic expression and cultural diversity.
