With a background of lived experience and a wealth of community knowledge Halcyon Days have engaged with local authorities, schools, alternative provisions, and local businesses to develop programs to help young people who don't fit into mainstream education. Working with young people who are no longer in mainstream education is key to the Halcyon Days project. Helping those who've faced early years trauma and setting up interventions to help bridge the gap between adults and young people is one of the main aims of the work undertaken in this project.Allowing the young person to be listened too and understood is paramount in building a solid relationship. This allows a friendship based empathetic course to be the main driver in the intervention. One of our key philosophies is, 'what makes us all the same is that we are all different'. With this, our interventions are bespoke and built on what the young person brings into the process while allowing the environment, family, and peer influences to be part of the discussion. #EARLYYEARSTRAUMA#CHILDCRIMINALEXPLOITATION#EARLYYAERSDRUGMISUSE#LIFELESSONS#UNDERSTANDINGYOURSELF#UNDERSTANDINGYOURCOMMUNITY#MAPPINGAFUTURE#PATHWAYSTOWORK
