Many companies find their incentive to include Accessibility in their process once they are faced with the risk of legal action. Coming at Accessibility from this perspective often leads to focusing on quick fixes instead of reforming the more deeply seated practices that got them there in the first place.I help companies fix their current Accessibility issues. Then I work with them to set up inclusive practices throughout their organization. This shifts the focus to a more proactive approach and brings Accessibility in line with every other standard and best practice the companies incorporate into their processes.I provide site reviews (automated and manual testing), I build code prototypes to test possible solutions (keyboard only, JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, screen magnifiers), I write remediation recommendations for developers to follow, and I provide design reviews of new content and functionality, I work with legal counsel to provide reccommendations to mitigate future risk.I work with companies to help them understand that their customers have many different needs. When those needs are considered throughout the product lifecycle, Accessibility and inclusion start to become a part of the organization's DNA.
