Food & Beverages - Stockton, New Jersey, United States
Half Pint Kitchen is a locally-owned and run artisanal ice cream parlor at the Stockton Indoor Farmers Market open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All of our ice creams and sorbet are cooked with local ingredients in very small-batches on the stove-top, then "aged" overnight in the refrigerator for added flavor, and finally frozen in 3 quart batches in our Swiss "Ott" Ice Cream Machine. Our company consists of Robin (the chef) and Jim Salant (the businessman), owners and husband and wife, as well as Bella Angel, (our very own angel) who has been helping us at the Stockton Market since we opened, and Carla and Nina, our newest part-time additions. Together we hope to begin expanding our shop soon. All of the dairy and eggs we use for our ice cream is local, from farms that don't use hormones or antibiotics, and grass feed their animals. In the warmer months, local fruit from small farms and local orchards are used, and we freeze as much as we can to prolong the harvest into the cold winter. Ingredients we can't buy locally (like vanilla) are bought from gourmet sources, and are organic and fair-trade when possible.
