Hamro America LLC's mission is "To strengthen culturally competent services such that people with diverse needs receive sensitive, knowledgeable, and non-judgmental access. We define diverse needs as abilities and disabilities, cultural and linguistic, social and health care." Through training, group workshops, consultation, and facilitation our goal is to: · Provide Interpreter and Cultural Competency Training that is current, research based, and appropriate. · Assist health care providers to build culturally and linguistically appropriate community partnerships, services, and systems. This is how we offer our services: * Introduction to Medical Interpretation is usually 45 hours long and is done over the course of 5 days. * Continuing Education Trainings for Interpreters is usually 1 to 3 hours long. * Introduction to Cultural Competency in Health and Social Services is usually one to two hours long. * Advanced training on Cultural Competence in Health and Social Services, is 4hour (half day), 8hour (one day) and 16hour (two day) formats available for advanced training modules.
