HAMS Details
HAMS is rapid response unit setup to provide support to financial institutions and owners dealing with distressed hotel assets. In response to discussions with financial institutions Ronan King of the Amethyst Group - a hotel specialist and former senior partner with BDO Simpson Xavier - founded HAMS to provide support in dealing with hotels experiencing trading difficulties. Severe liquidity issues in the sector has caused many banks to take steps to protect their security and assume control of the trading business. Operating distressed hotels requires an experienced hotel asset management team. In recognition of the current trend and based on experience with previous cycles, Ronan King approached Jim Murphy of PREM Group (Hotel Management Specialists) to source relevant skills and experience.
